March was a very uneventful month. We took Mylie to her first live play-musical. My friend Nicole's brother performed in a play at BYU and we went to see him. We were a little nervous Mylie was not going to be very good but she was excellent! She loved it! She would bounce to the sound of the music, clap every time a song ended. She sat there watching the WHOLE play. We are talking about an almost 9 month old baby. We couldn't believe it! She loves music, ever since she was teeny and still to this day (21 months) she knows and sings a lot of songs and enjoys musicals.

I love this picture. She started being really afraid of the vacuum, so I would have to hold her or Dallas would carry her on his shoulders while vacuuming. That was the only way she would not cry... and she just loves to think she's helping!
She started pulling this face out of nowhere. It was her way of saying "what was that?" Every time there was a strange noise or someone would talk to her she would do that face. So cute!
She started enjoying her baths and her toys.
She LOVES daddy. She wanted to do everything daddy was doing.
Notice her hand. She also started doing this at 8 months. Whenever someone would ask her where somebody was she would do that with her hand. Her way of saying "where did she go?" or "where is daddy?" She was definitely trying to communicate.

We were able to go on our family cruise. This time we went on the Eastern Caribbean Cruise. It was lots of fun as always. This time around my niece and nephew came with us. It was their first cruise so it was a blast seeing them so excited. Our cruise left from Miami. It was fun traveling to Miami since we had never been there. We had to transfer to a teeny plane in Tampa. We thought we were going to die... Literally. On our way back home the weather wasn't very friendly and our plane was shaking so bad it felt like we were on a roller coaster the whole way. My niece was really scared... We were ALL really scared. I was praying the whole time we were on the plane.
Other than the horrible 30 min plane ride (which felt like an eternity) our cruise was a blast! We went to a private island- Half Moon Cay (Bahamas), Grand Turk, St. Thomas, and Puerto Rico. Mylie didn't come with us (she was eight months old). We missed her tons. Grandma Debi watched her while we were gone and she taught her patty cake. She would sing and clap the song, so cute!

We went to the Everglades in FL right after we got off the boat and before we went to the airport. It was pretty cool to see all those alligators.

She was 7 months in this picture. She started to love to play and interact with other babies.
She started to smile ALL the time. She was always smiling everywhere we went. So cute!

She discovered how to talk on the phone. At 7 months she was smart enough to put the phone up to her ear or cheek and start jabbering.
We started feeding her solids at 6 months. This pic is at 7 months. She LOVED all the veggies we gave her. We are really grateful she is not a picky eater. Up to this day (20 months) she will eat anything and everything. You have to be careful because she might steal your food!

January 2010

We started the new year by going sledding in grandpa's backyard. Mylie (6 mo's) absolutely loved it. She loves her cousin so she was so happy. She also enjoyed sledding with daddy.
In January Mylie's bottom teeth started breaking through.

Making her first snow angel. We were concerned she wasn't going to like the snow but she didn't fuss at all.
She started to be really interested in all her books. If we just sat her down with a book she would sit there for a couple of min pretending she was reading. (Now (20 mo's) she does the same thing but jabbers and jabbers and jabbers when she's "reading")
She also started to love water. We could start giving her a sippy just with water and she would drink it all. We were really happy that she loves water =)
We took her to the ski Mogul competition up in park city. We dressed her really warm and took her with us. She is such a champ. She didn't cry a single time we were up there, even though it was pretty chilly. We went up with some friends and stayed at their parent's condo in park city. It was fun to have a mini vacation.

She started showing how much she LOVES her cousins. Every time she would see them she would be SO SO happy! just like in the picture. I am grateful that we live close to family so that she can enjoy her cousins. (She also loves her grandpas, grandmas, uncles and aunts! Though she's a little scared of scruffy beards)
We took Mylie to her first jazz game! I cannot emphasize how good a baby she is. She did so good. She was staring at the court like she understood what was going on. She did amazing through the whole game, she didn't fuss the whole time. We went to the game with some friends and it was a blast. Now, she even claps and cheers!

We have been going up to American Fork Canyon with our family lately to have delicious smores and dutch oven peach cobbler. It is really fun to live so close to the canyon and be able to have fun with our family. It was a little chilly up the canyon and Mylie gets so cold so fast..! We don't know what we are going to do with this little girl once the winter comes.. she is going to freeze! She is so cute and we love her to pieces =)

We got Mylie's ears pierced when she was 2 1/2 weeks old. I think she looks so cute..! We had to call around everywhere to find somebody who would pierce her ears that young. In Mexico they pierce your ears at the hospital when you are born and I grew up seeing all little girls with their ears pierced so I had to do it.

She didn't cry very much when they did it. She only cried for like 2 min and I think she was more mad than anything. I was worried that they were going to bother her that night when she went to bed but it didn't seem to bother her at all.

We love her so much and we are so happy she is finally with us =)

Mylie Zoe Makin is finally here and we are so happy! =) She was 8 lbs 5 oz and 20 1/2 inches long. She was 6 days past her due date and it seemed like an eternity. We think she was waiting for me to finish with my finals but my contractions started while I was studying for my last final. My contractions started on Thursday at 12 pm and I had her Friday at 4:02 am. She is so sweet and adorable and we love her so much. We couldn't be any happier. We are so glad that she made it here safely =) We love her so much and we could stare at her all day. (and now she shares birthdays with Dallas' brother)

Dallas' birthday was May 19th and I made some tres leches cake to celebrate his birthday with family. We also went to Tucanos for dinner and he was extremely excited because they finally had sushi which is one of his favorite things to eat.

Bee's game

Dallas and I love sports and we were able to go to a Bee's baseball game with John and Jhulliana a couple of weeks ago. It was really fun and can't wait for more games. Maybe me and Jhulliana will be bringing our new babies =)

The Roach's

Our good friends the Roach's came to Utah from Texas for Amber's nephew's party. It was so good and fun to see them! We were able to hang out with them for two days. It is always so nice to see our good old friends from Texas. They all became our family when we were in Texas and we have missed all of our friends since we moved. It was fun to see them and see little Jake =) During April Jenni and the Demaris came to Utah but I forgot my camera..! so we didn't get any pictures =(
Amber was able to do a photoshoot while she was here and I think the pictures turned out awesome.!! I love them..! She has more pictures on her website.

Baby Shower

My good friends Jhulliana and Lupita threw a baby shower for me. It was really fun to see some friends from back home and to hang out with friends and old roommates. The baby shower was at Jhulliana's house and it was really fun. Thank you guys! =)

So we are having a little girl and we are very excited. My due date is June 13th. So far I have gained 21 lbs and I'm 32 weeks. I am definitely showing and upon my Texas' friends request here are some pictures of my progress. I feel like I'm growing by the day!

Portland and Seattle

Dallas had to take his acupuncture board exam in Portland so we flew down there for the weekend. We got to see our very good friends Clint and Jen and meet their little girl Cierra. We stayed with them for a day and the next day we stayed with our good friends Dan and Jenni in Seattle. It was really fun to get to see Portland and Seattle which we thought were beautiful and it was even more fun to hang out with our friends! =)

My very good friend Connie came to Utah to visit her family and we were able to see each other for lunch. I got to meet her newest addition to her family (little Tyson) who was born the day we moved back to Utah. We love seeing friends from Texas cause we miss them SO MUCH!

Christmas in Mexico

I know it was 4 months ago but I had to blog about it cause it was really fun. We went to Mexico for Christmas and it was really nice to see my family which I hadn't seen in 3 years. It was nice to see my mom too. We had so much fun and we ate some yummy food which I was really happy about.

My hubby is finally a Doctor..! His graduation was December 13 and we are really excited that he was finally done with Chiropractic School. He worked really hard, I am so proud of him! His uncle Rand was able to give him his diploma since he is also a Chiropractor. We had a very good experience in Texas. We already miss our friends! They became like our family. They were our strength and support through the hard times. We are very blessed that they celebrated Dallas' graduation with us, it meant a lot to us.

For Dallas' graduations we decided to go on the Western Caribbean cruise. We went with the Sillito's and it was so much fun! It is so fun to see the little kids having so much fun. In Jamaica we decided to go climb the Dunn Falls. The water was really cold but the falls were amazing. In Grand Cayman we went to Seven Mile Beach to relax. They have the softest sand ever..!! I love that place. Dallas and Dan went snorkeling without very much success. In Cozumel we went to Playa Mia (a private beach.) They have a lot of amenities so we spent all day playing and relaxing on the beach...and eating nachos. Dallas went snorkeling and he saw a stingray and some other cool fish. I joined him a little later and it was really fun but I didn't get to see the stingray. It was so much fun to go on the cruise with the Sillito's and being able to celebrate the guys graduating school!

After South Padre we went to Utah for a whole month to set things up for the move. After that we went to Kansas to shadow Dr. Mladenoff for a few days and also for Dallas to finish his last acupuncture module. We were so close to Liberty jail and Independence, MO that we decided to go visit. It was a really good experience.

I was able to run my half-marathon at South Padre Island..! it was so much fun. I had to slow down in my training but that allowed me to run in the race. My ankle hurt a little bit but nothing too bad. It was so much fun to go with the Sillito's. We rented a very nice condo a block away from the beach for really cheap. It was nice to go and relax at the beach.

I have been training for a half marathon that's going to take place in South Padre on Oct 4th. My ankle started bothering me last week and I just got my results from the MRI i had yesterday. Sadly to say, I do have a stress fracture like we suspected. I'm so SAD! haha I'm still planning on running in the half marathon (I already registered for it and we also paid for the condo that we are staying in) but i won't be able to do the same training for a while. I will be doing a lot of work outs in the pool. I'm going to do whatever I can to help it heal faster! haha I REALLY want to run in the race. Oh well.. at least we have the perfect excuse for a vacation on the beach!

On to a better subject, Sept 18th is my last day of work..! I'm so excited cause I get to hang out with the girls before we take off to Utah. I'm going to miss you guys once we are gone!

Ranger's game and girl's camp

Soo.. I DO have very good excuses for being a procrastinator..! haha I'm trying to finish my Independent Study class which has taken me forever to finsh (still working on it) and I will have to say Breaking Dawn took ALL my attention for a while.. more on that in a later post ;)

A couple of days ago me an Dallas went to a Ranger's game.. we went on a Wednesday ONLY because they had dollar hotdogs (if you know my hubby you'll understand why haha). The line for hotdogs was FOREVER long and you could only get 5 at a time.. so Dallas had to settle with only 3.. he says that next time he'll get 5 and I'll get 5 also. It was really fun to go. I have to admit.. I love sports.. It's so sad to think that this summer is going to be the last time that we get to go to a Ranger's game.. that's why we are trying to go to as many as possible this summer before we move to Utah.. so if anybody wants to go let us know! we'll go with you guys! =) Since I am one of the YW advisors I got to go one day to girl's camp. We didn't have camp in Mexico so it was a new cool experience for me. It was sooo much fun.! I love the girls and it was so fun to hang out with them for a whole day. We did many cool activities and I couldn't but laugh at their songs..! they are hilarious..!! I am so grateful I'm their advisor because I get to be around them, they teach me so much and they have amazing testimonies. I ABSOLUTELY love these girls.

Cruise timE..!

Dallas' dad has given us cruises instead of birthdays or Christmas presents. This is the second year that we have cruised with the family and it was so much FUN! This time we took the Mexican Riviera cruise. It went to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo. One of the highlights of our cruise was that we cruised with Richard Simmons! haha (none of the pictures that we took of him were very good that's why i didn't post any) I had no idea who he was! my first thought of him when Dallas pointed at him was that somebody was dressed in a very petite and bright outfit! haha He had dinner on the same floor and at the same time that we did so we saw him dancing on top of the table a couple of times. It was hilarious!
Our first port was Puerto Vallarta. We found an awesome guide that took us all around the city. First we went to the jungle part to see and feed the monkeys. They were so cute and smart! haha Dallas afforded to hold a snake that I was completely scared with.

After that we went to the beach and we finished our day by eating some delicious carne asada tacos =) The second port was Mazatlan. We also took a tour of the city. We stopped to watch the cliff divers and did some shopping. After that we went to a hotel that was next to the beach, the guys went body boarding and the girls hung out by the pool.

Our last port was Cabo, my favorite out of the three! In Cabo, Dallas and I took a boat ride by the famous arches and got dropped off at Lovers Beach to do some snorkeling. It was really fun! We saw lots of tuna and some other cool fish.

And we could not miss a picture of one of our formal nights! Cruises are so much fun! It was a really fun week and it was nice to get away from school, clinic and work! =) It was really fun to visit my native country. It was nice to talk in spanish again haha don't get to talk in spanish very often any more. Can't wait til our next cruie!

Before our cruise we decided to go to California for two days. It was a really good way to start our vacation. It was really fun and it was nice to spend the whole time together. The first day we went shopping and at night we went to Newport Beach and ate at this very cool restaurant called Newport Landing that was facing the bay. It was so pretty! I forgot the camera that night so we didn't take pictures =( It happened to be the same restaurant that Dallas went to with Adam, Cam and Ryan when they went on their cruise after their missions. Since the first time he went he hasn't stop talking about their calamari so he was really happy went we got there and he recognized that it was the same place. The second day we went to Long Beach. We walked around the beach and the water was so cold! At night we walked around the harbor and took a bunch of pictures. Oh and we managed to go to In N Out burger twice in the two days we were there. We LOVE that place!

Dallas' birthday!

So Dallas' birthday was Monday the 19th. We didn't plan anything until that Monday morning. We asked everybody to join us at Spring Creek Barbeque. Even though we didn't invite everybody to come til that morning they still came and it was really fun! Dallas was trying to get as much free food as he could haha he got free fries and extra ribs just because it was his birthday haha! He makes me laugh sometimes but I adore him! He is the best =). Love ya honey!

3 goals: Finish my degree, start a family, help Dallas start his practice.

3 current obsession/projects: Anything that Stephenie Meyers writes, she is so goood! I just finished The Host and highly recommend it! =) Number one project is to finish my online BYU ECON class which is taking me forever! and start the habit of working out again after six weeks of total laziness.

3 random facts: LOVE to dance and pretend to sing, when i was 10 years old I was in a local TV commercial in Mexico, this one is very cheesy but I like the Disney Channel, my favorite show from there is Hannah Montana haha!

My 22nd birthday!

My birthday was almost a month ago! I'm horrible at blogging! sorry.. i'll work on that. My birthday was April 16th. My cute and awesome friends took me to lunch to chili's. Jen was in town from Oregon so she got to go with Carly! It was really fun. It is always fun to go out with friends! Dallas surprised me with flowers, a coupon for a shopping spree, delicious cheescake and New Moon. Ok.. so a lot of people already know.. but I am sooo adicted to the Twilight series and it's all my sister-in-law's fault! she got me hooked on them haha I absolutely LOVE these books! I read all three of them in less than 3 weeks.. and that was because Dallas was always telling me that I was neglecting him..haha if not.. I would've stay glued to the book!

Ok so the saturday after, a bunch of us went to celebrate my birthday at BJ's and afterwards we headed for some rockband at the Phillip's house. I had so much fun and it was kind of sad to realize that this was my last birthday in Texas! Tori and I have birthdays 5 days apart so we had it all figured out on how to celebrate our birthdays for a whole week and get as many free desserts as we could, too bad that this was the last time we'll be in Texas for my birthday.

It was so nice to see Jen while she was in town. We all kept saying that it felt like if she hadn't moved yet. Me and Dallas are so grateful for the awesome friends that we have in Texas that when December comes, it's going to be hard to leave our big Texas family behind. I can see why it is so hard for the ones that already left. We miss you all! =)

The Tenderness of the Lord

Sometimes we don't really understand why things happen in our lives but having the Gospel gives us an understanding that things happen for a reason, the Lord has a plan for us, and even though it may be hard to understand it, it helps us to become better people and gain a stronger testimony. On April 4th I had a midwife appointment. For no obvious reason I was a little nervous the whole morning. When we got there, the midwife couldn't find the baby's heartbeat so she sent us immediately to the hospital to get a sonogram. When we got there they were already waiting for us and they admitted me into the hospital as a patient. When they finally did the sonogram they found that the baby had passed away so the doctor decided to induce me so I could have a normal delivery. Brody was still-born on Saturday April 5th around 7:45 a.m. He was 14 inches long and weighed 13 oz. It had been several days since he had passed away. His umbilical cord had twisted so much that it caused a kink in it blocking the flow of blood and nutrients. We were heartbroken and extremely sad but we were comforted by the Spirit knowing that he was such a special spirit that didn't need to come to this earth to be tested. We felt the love of family and friends. We will always be so grateful for their support and their love. Dallas' dad flew us to Utah so we could bury Brody there. We held a very small graveside at the American Fork Cemetery on April 11th.

We are very grateful for the understanding of the Gospel. We know that this experience, even though it is very hard, is going to help us become better people. We have a better understanding of the atonement and we feel the love that our Heavenly Father has for us. We have been comforted in so many ways and we have felt peace in our hearts to know the power of being sealed in the temple will allow us to all be together forever, if we can but endure.

We don't know how to express the love and the gratitude that we have for our family and friends, for their support and their love that they have given us in this time of need. Thank you so much for your prayers, we have felt them and they have given us peace and comfort. One of our sweet friends shared a quote from the prophet Joseph Smith that gave us much comfort, "The Lord takes many away, even in infancy, that they may escape the envy of man, and the sorrows and evils of this present world; they were too pure, too lovely, to live on earth; therefore, if rightly considered, instead of mourning we have reason to rejoice as they are delivered from evil, and we shall soon have them again..."

OUR NEW CAR! :)

We are so excited- we got a new car! It's a 2007 Nissan Murano. We LOVE it.... I hope that's not bad haha. Since I got my job a year ago.. we started to save money to buy Dallas a truck for graduation. Well.. we got pregnant along the way and so we got thinking that it is more practical to buy an SUV, they are a lot safer than my car and since I'll be driving with the baby more often, my sweet hubby decided to sacrifice his truck. We found an awesome deal on this Murano, the internet sells guy messed up and posted it for the wrong price (~$5K less than they were selling it for) but they said they would honor the price...we had sold the tiburon unexpectedly (we put it on craigslist thinking that it would take a few weeks to sell and it sold in a few days, so as a side note, if you need to sell anything, craigslist is awesome) and then with the money we had saved we put down a good down payment on it. One of the greatest things we love about it is that it's an AWD and since we are going back to Utah, we felt like that was a must have. Once we bought it, Dallas begged me to get the "baby on board" sticker, he was really cute and excited about it. Long story short, we are really grateful to now have a car that we feel like we can trust our new baby in and we're hoping it will be a great car for a very long time.

We were so excited when we went to do the sonogram. It's so cool to think that there's a little baby inside my belly. I finally felt the baby move like two weeks ago and it's awesome. The nurse said that the baby was very good size, he is a little over a pound now, so he is growing really good and according to the schedule. It was very easy to tell his gender! She showed us on the screen and asked us.. "So what do you think you're having?" It was SO obvious. I turned around to look at Dallas' face and he was so excited. He wanted a boy so bad. He just wanted to make sure that he had his boy. Before we found out it was a boy he kept making comments that we were not going to stop having kids until we get a boy. Yeah right.. like he is the one going through pregnancy! haha It was so fun to look at him move. We got a perfect picture of his arm and hand, it looked like he was waving. We also got a picture of his foot. It was very exciting to see our baby! Now I can't wait until he is here!

Here is me at 21 weeks which is exactly today. I know I'm not showing very much but the midwife said that the baby is definitely growing and everything is good. I am just waiting for my belly to pop out from one day to another.

My Valentine

For Valentine's Day my sweet husband prepared a very romantic dinner. When I got home from work he had the apartment full of candles and he had a 3 course fondue meal ready! It was so cute and romantic! He put a lot of work into it. We started with the cheese fondue. It was sooo good. Then we continued with the meat part. He marinated chicken and beef and cut some vegetables so we could fry them. He also prepared the sauces were you can dip your meat after is cooked. The last part was the chocolate fondue. Of course we were so full by then but I couldn't say no! We dipped strawberries, kiwi, pineapple and mango. Everything was so good. Since it takes so long to eat, he thought of everything and he surprised me with one of my favorite movies so we could watch it while we ate. I loved everything that he did and it was a really fun night. I have to say I wasn't as romantic and didn't do something cool like he did but I gave him a cool present that he loved =) that makes me feel a little better.

I know, I know.. I'm horrible at updating the blog! I promise I'll try harder to keep up with it.

I'll start with Christmas.. almost two months ago. For Christmas we went to Utah to spend it with our family. The drive was not fun AT ALL. We decided not to drive just to save money because flight tickets were so expensive. Not too far away from Dallas, around 4 hours, I was driving and got pulled over!! The officer was so rude! and said that I was driving faster than I really was. Anyhow, I got my first ticket ($200 worth). I felt soooooo bad! I didn't save us very much money at all. We drove non stop from Texas to Utah which is a very LONG drive (20 hours). Before we got to Monticello it was snowing really bad. The roads were horrible and we had to drive less than 40 miles an hour all the way through Moab. We were so tired and glad when we finally got to Dallas' dad's house.

The last time I saw my mom before that was for our wedding.. almost two years ago. My mom and my siblings came up to Utah and it was so much fun. It was shocking to see how much my brothers have grown. My 15th year old brother is now taller than me! It was so fun to see our families. Every time we go back we realize how much we miss it there and how much we miss our families. Dallas' brother Dusty had guitar hero and it was the first time me and Dallas played. It was so much fun! my brothers also got addicted to it.

(P.S. anyone in Utah looking for a good photographer Dallas' mom is really good and gives family and friend discounts.)

We also got on Dallas' dad hot tub. They just moved into a house in Lindon which they remodeled and it looks gorgeous. They did an awesome job.

We also went to temple square so my family could see the lights. We watched the movie about the prophet Joseph Smith and it was amazing.

Before going to Utah, the Sillito's, Hirschi's and us went to a little town not far from Dallas to watch the representation of Bethlehem. It was so cool but I swear it was one of the coldest nights in Texas history. They were giving free hot chocolate, it never tasted so good.

The representation was awesome, they had camels and people were dressed and acted like if there really were living in those times. Whenever we would take pictures they would say "what is that lightning box?" it was pretty funny.

First Christmas tree!

Me and Dallas made up our minds that we were not going to spend too much money on a Christmas tree this year. We started looking on craigslist to see if we could get a good deal but every time we found one and called, it was already gone. One morning Dallas was sitting on the computer trying to find one and he hit the refresh button and there was a listing for a free Christmas tree, the same size and type we were looking for. We were so excited, we jumped on the car and went to their place hoping that they still had it. When we got there and the guy saw our little car (mazda protege), he tried not to laugh and commented that it might not fit. We didn't care, so we just put the tree in the back seat and since the door wouldn't shut all the way, he had to bungee it shut. It was so cold that day so we were driving home freezing with the heater on full blast and the door half wide open. Good thing it was only a 5 mile drive. They were giving it away because only 40% of the lights worked on it, so we just had to buy a few strands, now it works perfect.

We LOVE our tree and we had so much fun picking the decorations and decorating it. Now we can't wait till Christmas!!

Dallas' new cleats

So Dallas has been begging me for new cleats for a year now because he said his old ones were so worn out. I kept resisting to the idea until one saturday morning he came home with what use to be his cleats. They were completely torn apart. He was so SAD! haha they were his high school football cleats from his senior year.. not that he got to use them much that year =( He still had a hard time parting with them. I seriously told him that it was just his cunning plan to get new cleats. Still to this day I think he broke them apart the night before he went and played flag football. Anyhow, I finally agreed on buying him new cleats so we went to the store, and as usual, took way too long deciding what to get. If you know us, you'll know that we're not the best couple on making fast decisions. Well this time was not the exception. Poor guys at the store stayed there 30 mins after closing hours cause my wonderful husband couldn't make up his mind! way too many choices. After a long process he finally decided to get a pair of pumas that he happened to see 10 min before we left the store. He absolutely loves them and he can't wait till each saturday morning so he can use them. Look at his face! I swear our kids are going to be the biggest pouters thanks to my hubby! Luv ya babe!

Halloween

So for Halloween we went to Scott and Connie's place. We had a blast. I don't know what me and Dallas were talking about before we got there, but he was accusing me of not being able to say no to sweets. As soon as we got there, Connie had made home made oreo cookies and that was the first thing Dallas started eating, he couldn't stop, so that made me feel a little better ;)

We had tons of food and it was very fun to hang out that night even though we had to go back to work and school the next day.

We're becoming Stars fans

I guess one of the good things of having a super nice boss is that we get free tickets for sporting events. Last week he took the whole office and their families to a professional hockey game, Dallas Stars. It was our third time going to a Stars game. The second time we got tickets for one of the suites, it was really nice. It's so fun to have co-workers that are good friends too. We had so much fun! We were really close so that made it very exciting. It's amazing how fast they ice skate and move the puck at the same time. It was a good game, we whooped them =)

Having fun in San Antonio

We didn't really get a vacation because Dallas was studying for part 1 boards. So we decided to treat ourselves with a little vacation a week after school started. We left September 13th, San Antonio is just a 4 1/2 hour drive from Dallas. We went to The Alamo, the riverwalk, the market and Sea World. The Sillito family went with us and we had so much fun. We rode on the Gondolas and we had dinner on the Riverwalk and it was really good! Our favorite part of the trip was Sea World. We got to touch dolphins, we saw sharks and Shamu (killer whale), and lots of other cool animals, our favorite show was where Sea Lions played the roles of detectives and did amazing acrobatics, it was hilarious. San Antonio is beautiful and such a fun place to go to. On our way back we stopped in New Braunfels to see the river Guadalupe and one of the top water parks in America, Schlitterbahn. We didn't get to go in but it looked really fun. The water park is huge and some of the water comes from the river next to it. The river is so pretty and clear. Hopefully we can go back soon and do some more fun stuff there.
